Пожалуй, соберу-ка я дневной улов Торчвуда и Барроумана в один пост, чтобы не мучить невинных ПЧитателей, которые к этой траве непричастны.О третьем сезоне ТорчвудаIt's difficult to call any TV news announcement a "spoiler" when it involves a massive crater that's cloaking a major city in smoke. But, an impressive set built in Cardiff, Wales, for the production of Torchwood's third mini-season serves up an obvious hint of what's to come for Captain Jack Harkness (left) and crew.
The fictional location of The Torchwood Institute's Welsh HQ sits under Cardiff's Millennium Centre. The current production crew there built a set revealing smoldering signs of a huge explosion in the area -- an illusion that doesn't bode well for the Torchwood crew. They may need to lease new office space.
While they're at it, the Torchwood folks might as well get extra cubicles, because the BBC announced four new cast members for the show's upcoming five-episode run. There's no word yet on who might officially join the Harkness team, but the new faces include Lucy Cohu, Susan Brown, Cush Jumbo and Rik Makarem.
SMOKE, fire and twisted metal filled Cardiff Bay as filming for the latest Torchwood series continued.
Stars of the BBC show, including Eve Myles and John Barrowman, have been filming at an elaborate film set in the city’s Roald Dahl Plass this week.
A film crew spent most of the weekend transforming the area outside Wales Millennium Centre into a huge explosion crater.
Fans gathered to watch as filming got under way during the day on Monday and overnight on Tuesday and Wednesday.
An onlooker said: “At night it’s been quite eerie because the whole of WMC seems to vanish behind the smoke. They set fire to the crater and it just looks like a battle zone.
“It’s all to do with Torchwood’s hub. Something has happened to that unit base and there’s a massive crater in front of it.
“There’s footage of Eve Myles running towards the crater and being dragged away by paramedics.
“It really does look like it’s going to be good. They’re spending a lot of time on special affects.” (Отсюда)О кастинге и новых персонажах третьего сезонаGuest stars и новый каст:
A trio of guest stars for the third season of Torchwood have been announced by the BBC.
Peter Capaldi, Liz May Brice and Paul Copley will all have prominent roles in Torchwood: Children Of Earth, which will be shown over five consecutive nights on BBC One next spring.
Capaldi, best known for The Thick Of It, will play civil servant Mr. Frobisher - a man trying to conceal a terrible secret. The renowned actor recently guest starred in the Doctor Who story 'The Fires Of Pompeii' as Caecilius.
Brice, who played convicted murderer Pat Kerrigan in ITV's Bad Girls, will take on the role of Johnson - a cynical undercover government agent with a mission to expose Torchwood. Copley, best known for recurring roles in The Lakes, This Life and Coronation Street, will play the traumatised figure of Clem.
BBC Wales Head of Drama Julie Gardner hailed their involvement and stated: "Joining our main cast are some fantastic guest artists who will only add to making this unmissable TV."
Series regulars John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Gareth David-Lloyd, Kai Owen and Tom Price will all be returning.
Four new cast members have been revealed for Torchwood: Children of Earth, the shortened third season of the cult show.
Producer Peter Bennett told Torchwood Magazine about the additions, a mixture of established and upcoming talent.
Former Cape Wrath star Lucy Cohu will play Alice, described by Bennett as "a woman keeping many secrets from the past".
Susan Brown, best known for her turn in The Riff Raff Element, plays Bridget Spears - "a character vitally connected to the government, which plays an important part in this story", according to Bennett.
The quartet is completed by newcomers Cush Jumbo and Rik Makarem, with the former playing Lois Habiba, "a secretary who hacks into some vital information", and Makarem portraying Doctor Rupesh Patanjali, a "junior doctor at St Helen's hospital who gets drawn into Torchwood's investigations".
They join a trio of previously announced guest stars - including Peter Capaldi - in the third season, which is currently filming for transmission on BBC One in early 2009.У Наоко Мори чудный голос!

Я уже начинаю думать о том, что по Торчвуду пора делать мюзикл (OMFG!)
А Барроуман продолжает радовать тем, какая он позитивная икона:
